Top Irish online travel company Gohop.ie has chosen hosting365, Ireland’s largest and leading hosting services provider, to service over 150,000 Irish visitors per month

Gohop.ie is the longest established Irish online travel company, starting its operations in 1999. Having rapidly expanded, Gohop.ie is now one of Irelands Top 5 travel companies, with over 40 staff.

“Gohop.ie was launched as a consumer brand to facilitate booking a holiday for the Irish consumer, and we have over 750,000 holidays listed on the site through the package holiday search,” says Stephen McKenna, sales director for Gohop.ie. “Business users have been using it as it gives them an easy comparison of flight options and hotel accommodation offering for their business trips.

Gohop.ie originally hosted all its hardware in-house. “We found this beneficial on start-up, given the huge amount of hands on development being done originally and the convenience of being able to manage the hardware and software developments in-house,” adds McKenna.

Due to the quick growth of the website, the Irish online travel company decided to move to a dedicated hosting environment. “We put the proposal out to tender and picked the tender which suited our requirements based on reliability and support,” he explains. “The migration was smooth. The benefits have been multiple, notably improved reliability, support and uptime.”
