Hosting 365 Number 1 Reseller for .ie domains in 2006

For the second year running, the IE Domain Registry (IEDR) has awarded its Annual Achievement Award to Hosting365, one of Ireland’s leading domain registry and web hosting companies. The Annual Award, comprising a €5,000 prize and a perpetual trophy recognises .ie resellers who have made the most significant contribution to the growth in domains and to the development of the .ie namespace in the past year.

Hosting365 was chosen for the award for the second year in a row for their continuous commitment to the .ie brand and the .ie namespace.Hosting365 was also ranked number one in .ie registration volume growth for each of the four quarters of 2006, adding over 3,100 new registrations in the year, which is 40% ahead of the nearest reseller. Hosting365 also consistently submitted high-quality applications for new registrations, invested in customer service and in automated systems, including the IEDR’s new API.
Speaking at the presentation of the Award, Mr David Curtin, Chief Executive of the IEDR, said: “Hosting365’s focus on driving growth in .ie domains has made a major contribution to maintaining the position of the .ie domain name as the number one domain name in Ireland with a 40% share of the market. 2006 was our strongest year yet, with .ie registrations up 30% on the same period last year, thereby growing the number of domain names to over 75,000.�
