With the new online facilities, members are able to check any horse’s points and will shortly be able to register themselves and their horses’ online, reducing administration services times and cost.

The Show-jumping Association organises and coordinates show-jumping in Ireland. Its database includes information and results on 85,000 horses and is accessed by the association’s 10,000 members.

“Thanks to hosting365 we can now easily display points to the members, explains Pat Cully, new director general of SJAI. “Prior to going online, our members had to phone up to check a horse’s points and we had to charge them €6.35 for this. Now they just have to go to the Internet and print them for free. It’s great.

Mark Breen, in charge of the SJAI’s IT systems explains all these new online features will save the organization a significant amount of time and money.

“We chose hosting365 because of the high service level, fantastic speed and bandwidth and astonishing good value, adds Breen. “They are also very flexible. We can upgrade or downgrade the hardware in a couple of hours.

Says Stephen McCarron, Managing Director of Hosting365 ‘We are delighted to be working with Mark Breen and the SJAI – I think their new web services is a prime example of how Internet technology can improve business efficiencies and provide tangible cost benefits’

The Show-jumping Association of Ireland website, www.sjai.ie, features news, training information, downloadable forms and competitions results, as well as information on its annual charity calendar in aid of The Irish Horse Welfare Trust and Riding for the Disabled Association.
