hosting365, Ireland’s largest hosting company with more than 30 percent of the marketplace, will support the 2006 iReach Inspired IT Awards. For 2006, hosting365 will sponsor the category of Inspired use of IT in Telecommunications, Media and Technology.

This is the second year that the iReach Inspired IT Awards have been held. iReach, a leading research and market intelligence company, created the awards to acknowledge the role of IT Managers and their teams for creating business value through the inspired use of IT in Ireland.

Commercial and public sector organisations of all sizes are invited to submit their entries to the Inspired IT Awards across the eight categories, covering financial services to travel and leisure, from Pharmaceuticals to Government and Media.

There will also be four overall awards selected from Industry entries for the Inspired SME Project of the Year, the Inspired IT Project of the Year, the Inspired IT Person of the Year and the Inspired use of IT in Public Sector.

IT projects should be undertaken or completed in the period to the end of July 2006. The deadline for entries is 15th September, 2006 and a short list will be announced on 4th October, 2006.

Jury’s Hotel in Dublin 4 will host the Awards ceremony on 13th October 2006.

The Inspired IT Awards will again support the activities of Barnardos, the children’s charity. In 2005 the event raised over €21,000, which was contributed to local activities in Ireland and it aims to increase the donation to this worthwhile cause in 2006.

The Inspired Award in Technology, Media, and Telecoms 2005 was won by Idiro Technologies for their Customer Intelligence project, which is a unique product that enables telecommunications companies to utilise an untapped area of customer information – social communities. Other winners from the 2005 Awards were EBS Building Society, who won Inspired IT Project of the Year for their ‘Broker Mortgage Origination System’, and Dublin Dental School who won Inspired IT Team of the Year for their project ‘Clinical Information Mobility and Learning’.
