hosting365 has been awarded the prestige of being host for the second World Junior Athletic Championships, an honour bestowed by the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS). The Irish Wheelchair Association Sport Section (IWA Sport) will organize this international event, opening on Friday 14th in Santry Morton Stadium. hosting365, Ireland’s largest hosting company, is sponsoring the Championship website.

“IWA Sport is very proud to host the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games in Ireland,� says John Fulham, title with IWA Sport and also an active sports participant.  “Given that this is only the second time this international competition has been held, it is a great honour for Ireland to be chosen as the host country. It is also a great opportunity to witness our talented athletes compete with the best on home soil.�

Over 100 Athletes and 50 staff from 18 countries will be part of the tournament, which is expected to attract interest worldwide. IWA Sport has teamed up with hosting365 to create a website exclusively for the Championships, where people can access updated information about schedules, results and news on the competition.

IWA Sport is a National Governing Body for Sport for people with disabilities in Ireland, catering for Wheelchair, Amputee and other athletes. “Our policy is to develop and promote opportunities for people with physical disabilities to participate in sport at a level of their choice. We encourage everyone to participate regardless of age, ability or disability,� explains Fulham.

“IWA Sport has very dedicated Staff who give 100% commitment of their time to developing and promoting disability sport in Ireland,� says Fulham. “Any sport can be adapted to accommodate participation by people who either rely on a wheelchair for their everyday mobility or have a movement disability. As a result, wheelchair athletes can participate in nearly every sport one way or another.�

The competition will take place in Dublin from the 14th to the 16th July 2006, with the teams arriving on the 11th July.
