Hosting365 powers fund raising for Rehab Bingo

Hosting365 has been chosen to provide the servers and hosting capabilities to run the recently launched RehabBingo.com site. This important fundraising initiative is Ireland’s first online Bingo game.

The Rehab Group is one of Ireland’s largest companies in the not-for-profit sector and has been at the forefront of innovative and exciting fund raising initiatives since it was formed in 1949. The Group provides training, employment, health and social care services to people with disabilities and those who are socially marginalized. The Group provides services to 60,000 clients at 200 locations in Ireland and the UK.

Back in the 1950s, Rehab was the first charity to launch football pools. According to Dr John McGuire, Managing Director of Rehab Lotteries, the Group is always looking for new ways of fund raising and the internet is a medium which presents exciting opportunities. In 2004, RehabLotteries.com was launched, which has proven very successful. Dr McGuire is confident that the new online Bingo site will be instrumental in raising significant new funds to assist Rehab in its work.

“The online bingo is provided to Rehab by New Media Lottery Services, a lottery management company. The service requires the most robust hosting capabilities and when they recommended Hosting365, we were delighted to place our online fund raising services and our confidence in an Irish company. If we have any questions or need any issues resolved, it is important to us that our supplier is only a phone call away, or a short drive if necessary.

Dan King, sales and marketing manager of Hosting365 welcomed the opportunity to continue the exciting work with Rehab. “This is another challenging project for us and we are delighted to be part of Ireland’s first online bingo site. To be selected by New Media Lottery Services above both US and local Irish hosting companies is confirmation of our position as the leading independent provider of hosting services in Ireland.

“The overall project is also a tribute to the innovation pursued by Rehab and a vindication of the growing role of the internet in fund raising. Low cost to entry coupled with a wide reach with the spread of broadband combines to create an attractive offering for charities.
